Uterine fibroma, leiomyoma or myoma, is both the most common solid tumor, as well as the most frequent smooth muscle tumor in women [1, . It occurs in about 50% of women of reproductive age, and although many leiomyomas are asymptomatic, they may well lead to perturbing symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pressure symptoms and infertility .
